This year’s sessions related to COVID-19 capitalize on months of research and clinical experience, said CHEST 2021 Scientific Program Committee Vice-Chair Subani Chandra, MD, FCCP.

The CHEST 2021 program will build on lessons learned from the success of last year’s online meeting, said Program Co-Chairs David Zielinski, MD, FCCP, and Christopher Carroll, MD, FCCP.

Demondes Haynes, MD, FCCP, will deliver the CHEST 2021 keynote address on Sunday, October 17, at 3:30 PM CT, speaking on perseverance and motivation amid COVID-19 and beyond.

“The issue of disparities is a very complex issue—it’s a disease issue, it’s a societal issue, it’s about who is involved, both patients and providers, and how they are affected,” said Viren Kaul, MD, FCCP.

Planned with busy clinicians in mind, CHEST 2021 builds on a well-established tradition of engaging, immersive, and entertaining experiences.

Each year, the lectures honor people who are making significant contributions to chest medicine. The awardees are nominated and selected by their peers.

Distinguished CHEST Educator (DCE) recipients are recognized for their achievements and long-term contributions to the design and delivery of CHEST education.
