Visit the Wellness Zone

Working as a clinician doesn’t always allow for extra time to focus on your own mind and body wellness. After taking care of patients all day, it’s important to find the time to take care of yourself too. This year’s CHEST’s Annual Meeting is introducing a new interactive experience that aims to provide physicians with the necessary tools to decompress from the stressors of work. Visit the CHEST Wellness Zone to learn easy methods to handle stress and to relax after a long day at work. As a CHEST Annual Meeting attendee, you will learn tips and tricks geared toward improving your health and will be provided with personalized methods to maintain a healthy lifestyle in the workplace and at home.

The Wellness Zone will be located in the lobby/foyer space inside the convention center and will be open all day Sunday – Wednesday, except during the Opening Sessions. Attendees can visit the Wellness Zone at any time with no appointment necessary.

Foot Massage Stations

Relax at one of the four foot massage machine stations to take a load off after walking around the convention center and exploring what New Orleans has to offer.

Essential Oils Experience

Take in the relaxing scents in between your annual meeting sessions while learning from an expert about the best oil combinations to use when preparing to wind down in your office or at home after a day of stress.

Posture Consultations

Experiencing hunched shoulders and aching spine more and more recently? With these posture consultations, you’ll receive tailored guidance on ways to improve your stance while at work. Each evaluation takes 10-15 minutes, and you’ll walk away with a before-and-after picture from your consult, a full posture analysis report, and some pep in your step!

Meditation Corner

Take some time for yourself by visiting the meditation corner for a few moments of peace. We’ll show you guided meditation apps to check out for when you need to center your mind and avoid burnout. Headphones will be provided for those who would like a quick silent meditation session in between the hustle and bustle of the annual meeting.
