Your scientific abstract or case report could be one of thousands of innovative studies showcased at CHEST 2022—but don’t delay your entry. Submit your findings by March 31 for the chance to be a part of leading investigations at the forefront of chest medicine.
All clinicians in the worldwide chest medicine community are invited to submit. Physicians, advanced care providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, fellows, residents, and medical students from all subspecialties are welcome to share studies as oral presentations or posters. There is no charge to submit.
Trainees and early career professionals in particular are encouraged to exhibit their work, with two categories open exclusively to these clinicians. International clinicians are welcome to submit their investigations to any category, and one type is only available to professionals outside the United States.
CHEST will accept the following submission types until the March 31 deadline:
- Abstracts (original investigations)
- Fellows case reports (open only to those enrolled in a physician training program)
- Medical student/resident case reports (open only to medical students or residents)
- Global case reports (open only to professionals from outside the US)
- Clinical case puzzlers
Enhance your career
For many CHEST members, presenting an abstract or case report was their gateway to greater involvement within CHEST.
“I got involved with CHEST early on as a resident… And then [I] started with just submitting an abstract or two, presenting a poster, giving an oral presentation,” said Subani Chandra, MD, FCCP, CHEST 2022 Program Chair. “But that got me to the meeting. And the meeting was so engaging, so informative, and so much fun, that I kept going back each year.”
Sharing an abstract or case report can also help raise your professional profile and expose your work to a large, international audience. It’s rare to find this diverse assembly of chest medicine clinicians in one place.
If your abstract or case report is accepted, it will be published in the journal CHEST® and eligible for a scientific presentation award, allowing you to boost your CV and extend your reach.
Connect with potential collaborators
Research can be an isolating pursuit, and submitting your work opens doors for connection with colleagues. Expert faculty will share feedback on accepted abstracts and case reports, and presenters can discuss their investigations with fellow researchers. Some attendees could even be your future collaborators.
Make the most of the opportunity to showcase your work on the topics you’re passionate about. Pick the work you’re most proud of and begin your submission today.
