Make learning more fun with interactive experiences

The CHEST Annual Meeting is known for being the premier hands-on event in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. Offering everything from virtual reality and on-site escape rooms to video games, experiences are part of the learning process at CHEST 2022.

This year’s CHEST Annual Meeting will feature more hands-on fun than ever before, with more opportunities for interactive learning and competing with your peers.

“Everyone learns differently, and interactive learning has proven to be extremely effective for some,” said Sharren Smith, Manager, Instructional Design and eLearning with CHEST. “At this year’s meeting, we’re proud to offer a lot of new opportunities for engaging education that infuses fun into education.”

Two interactive escape rooms will be available in the Exhibit Hall.

  • “Starship Relics”
This experience takes players to a distant future where a starship’s shuttle has crashed, and the crew on board needs you to save them.
  • “The Asthma Ascent”
Players travel to a mountain town where a mystery needs to be solved, and a spooky twist awaits.
The Asthma Ascent is a non-promotional, non-CME disease state educational program brought to you by CHEST in collaboration with and paid for by GSK.

Save a space for you and your team to experience one of the escape rooms.

Play to win

Once you’ve escaped, come experience a demonstration of an intubation simulation in virtual reality. Then, test your knowledge, and bring out your competitive edge during live game breaks at CHEST Games in the Exhibit Hall.

Peer Pressure tests users with a series of questions that grows increasingly complex until only one player is left standing. With new game Close Enough, contestants answer a question, and the audience supports the answers they think are closest for the chance to win it all. And, Hocus POCUS Diagnosis challenges players with diagnosis- or treatment-based questions on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) images as cases of various complexity are presented. Learn more about the live games in the CHEST Events mobile app.

Engage with the patient experience

CHEST 2022 will also offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about the patient experience and access resources from new CHEST initiatives with three Patient Case Journeys:

  • COPD Unmet Needs – The Patient Perspective
This is a non-promotional, non-CME disease state educational program brought to you by CHEST in collaboration with and sponsored by GSK.
