A Collaborative Approach to IPF Management

October 19, 2021 from 6:30 am - 7:30 am CDT

Sponsored by an educational grant from Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc

Program Description

Dedicated multidisciplinary teams contribute to improved diagnosis, clinical outcomes, and reduced diagnostic uncertainty in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), particularly given dynamic and shifting diagnoses and subsequent management of these patients. The France Foundation is collaborating with the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in this program (3rd of 4 ILD Solutions events) to discuss managing patients with IPF within a multidisciplinary team. Dr. Gregory Tino and Dr. Mary Porteous will present several cases that demonstrate the importance of using a multidisciplinary approach, as well as shared decision-making, in patient management. They will also share their experiences creating action plans together at Penn, while guiding learners to develop an action plan for their own institution.

Earn ABIM MOC Points!

Part of the ILD Solutions events, this symposium will be complemented by three others during CHEST. Attend all four events for special recognition!
