Do My Beliefs Matter: Framing Discussions on Deathon Sunday

@NnekaPhD @Adauzo1

How do you plan on taking this year’s ‘Big Easy’ message back to your practice?

Being a strong advocate for patients and families is something I really enjoy focusing on and try hard to have that as a focus in my practice. I usually go BIG, so this year’s theme fits my style perfectly!

What was the impetus for your presentation?

Addressing cultural nuances around end of life conversations is imperative to having successful interactions. Helping others to develop these skills is something I really appreciate doing. It also gives me a chance to grow my skills so I can better teach others.

Do you think your pet knows you’re away from home?

Yes he definitely does! I have a Bernese mountain dog named Socrates—Socs for short because he has four white paws!

Who is your favorite person to follow on Twitter in the pulmonology profession?

Dr. Hassan Bencheqroun because he values training others and is always innovative!
