Fellows from 3 pulmonary and critical care training programs have earned a spot in this year’s CHEST Challenge Championship. Before they take the stage at CHEST 2024 in Boston, learn about the contestants in their own words.

CHEST will present Honorary FCCP designations to Virginia Allen and the Black Angels, a group of sanatorium nurses in the 1930s and 40s, for their contributions to medical history.

Swetha Gogineni, MD, and other pulmonary, critical care, and sleep specialists will outline nuanced approaches to women’s health care during sessions at CHEST 2024.

A new Health Equity track at the annual meeting will guide attendees to important conversations and actionable strategies for providing the best care for patients of color, said CHEST Health Equity Task Force Chair, Nneka Sederstrom, PhD, MPH, MA, FCCP.

Thirty simulation courses during CHEST 2024 will offer practical, hands-on training in the tools and techniques needed to navigate some of pulmonary and critical care medicine’s most chaotic moments.

CHEST 2024 attendees are encouraged to reflect on the stories of their lives outside of medicine and the theme of “My Revolution” during the third annual CHEST After Hours narrative storytelling event.
